Required Training

Each Communications Officer completes a rigorous on-site training program. The officers complete the Basic Communications Officer Training Course at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth, GA, to meet state certification requirements. This ensures Brantley County 9-1-1 remains in compliance with all state and federal regulations.

All Communications Officers are FEMA Incident Command System-certified, and certified network operators through the Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) system. Training is a continual process, and Communications Officers engage in extensive continuing education to maintain peak readiness for any emergency situation.
